Thank you all. This year was a special treat because I was able to spend it with my dad checking off the Sprint Cup Bristol night race from both of our bucket lists. Let me tell you that place didn't disappoint. If you like stock car racing, you really need to find a way to get to that race some year.
JAG: So why do you need armor piercing ammo?

JAG: For when they hide behind engine blocks?
tcourtplayer: Just because the movies say they will be dumb and slow doesn't make it true.
JAG: WOW!!!

There must be an end to this intimidation by those who come to this great country, but reject its culture.

Thanks, guys!
I'd expected the big 60 to be more... of something. But I flew to Omaha on Friday to attend my mother-in-law's 80th birthday party on Saturday, so mine was sorta sidetracked.
On the plus side, went out Saturday night with a bunch of old friends, some of whom I haven't seen in 10+ years, and got to hang out for a little while with the two oldest minions, both of whom are old enough to buy their own beer.
And the return flight from Omaha to Huntsville, with a plane change in Chicago, was under 4 hours total. We were wheels up at 1248, and the time stamp from the parking lot in Huntsville was 1642.

Happy day, guys!
The biggest deal about my 50th this year was probably Rumpshot's announcement here. I usually don't even remember how old I am, except this year it's easier, given the round number.
I used to feel that way, but around 25, I realized, "Meh. What's the difference?"First Shirt wrote:I'd expected the big 60 to be more... of something.

Note to self: start reading sig lines. They're actually quite amusing. :D
