Can anybody else comment on this? No offense, Aesop, but you're inclined to hyperbole.Aesop wrote:(IIRC, both the SEC and FBI take an intransigently dim view of financial malfeasance in respect to shareholder instruments, in a rather binding 2-50-years:federal sort of way, and both have entire divisions of agents devoted to the policing of such irregularities. And your earlier post here, stating knowledge of financial skimming, is probably tantamount to a guilty plea in federal court.
I'd thought that since they controlled 80%, it was legal and just crappy. Quorum, majority of votes, etc. Of course, I'm just a dumb engineer, and not an attorney or an accountant.
As always.I'm just a fucking ray of sunshine, aren't I?)
Note to self: start reading sig lines. They're actually quite amusing. :D

With a paper trail (fake of course) indicating that you knew about it, signed off on it and even encouraged it... Oh and a bank account in your name with money in it that you did not report to the IRS...Weetabix wrote:Can anybody else comment on this? No offense, Aesop, but you're inclined to hyperbole.

I've found a lawyer licensed in domicile state just down the street from me. Emailed and left a voice mail. Let the billing begin.

Beats possibly going to jail.
There must be an end to this intimidation by those who come to this great country, but reject its culture.

I have no desire to hear about the new A&E reality TV show "Breaking Bad: The Weetabix Years". Nobody looks good in orange scrubs.
And remember, a defense of "I thought this was legal" is rarely successful in court.
Paying a real lawyer to tell you what's what is expensive for the same reason divorce is: because it's worth it.
That said, everything about that situation screams GTFO, to me.

There are lot's of legal ways to skim money but if you don't dot all the right i's and cross all of the right t's the Feds will want to talk to you about it. Even if you didn't actively take part in it.
