good, accurate, inexpensive 7.62

The place for beginners, or anyone else, to talk about gun, gear, and shooting topics with a minimum of jargon and/or geekery. The only stupid question is the one you don't ask that blows up in your face later.

I've been really happy with my PTR-91. Sub-MOA 7.62, got it on sale for $600.

PTR is crazy-reliable, uses the rolling-locker extractor.

Useless.

Hey Fill, glad you found us, welcome back!
POLITICIANS & DIAPERS NEED TO BE CHANGED OFTEN AND FOR THE SAME REASON

A person properly schooled in right and wrong is safe with any weapon. A person with no idea of good and evil is unsafe with a knitting needle, or the cap from a ballpoint pen.

:D Well, what I have done is buy a 30-06 instead, a CMP M1 Garand! It's an International Harvester, service grade; it is beautiful. Arrived yesterday. I haven't shot it yet. I may get out to Arizona middle of October to shoot at the big match. For $617.50 delivered, I am happy, for now. :D
