New Women Shooters

The place for beginners, or anyone else, to talk about gun, gear, and shooting topics with a minimum of jargon and/or geekery. The only stupid question is the one you don't ask that blows up in your face later.

I love getting a couple in my carry permit classes. The husband generally shoots, the wife is generally there to humor him. It almost never fails that she will end the day outshooting him. :)

I know an Empire State games Women's pistol champion - she's absolutely SCARY with a 22 pistol. In fact, the best Rimfire pistol shooters always tend to be wimmins, because they have less upper body mass, so therefore less of the twitches that throw the pistol off. Meanwhile, they don't do as well in offhand Centerfire rifle competition, because of the same reason, they don't have the muscle mass to keep the wander of the rifle to a minimum. Add in they don't have the upper body mass to soak up recoil like men do, and can therefore develop a flinch real easy.

Women are often natural shooters , and usually better shots than their male counter parts , damit.
a thousand years ago when I shot on UAF rifle team ( second stringer ) , the two best shots were women , and quite attractive IRRC.

LOL!! Yeah, those didn't work real well on the range with uneven ground.
POLITICIANS & DIAPERS NEED TO BE CHANGED OFTEN AND FOR THE SAME REASON

A person properly schooled in right and wrong is safe with any weapon. A person with no idea of good and evil is unsafe with a knitting needle, or the cap from a ballpoint pen.

I remain pessimistic given the way BATF and the anti gun crowd have become tape worms in the guts of the Republic. - toad
