i really need some info on a 1951 fabricade de armas 8mm rifle it was passed down to my boyfriend when his dad passed away it has a mark on it that I want to know what it means it looks like a butterfly.

I suspect the "butterfly" is a proof mark. Here is a PDF of European proof marks, see if any are familiar.
