Sad. Like the Colt Python in a way, not that they can't make it any longer (like the Colt) but it's also expensive and has a small market now.

I got a call earlier this week and it hurts to even talk about it. My old dept has a couple of M-14's that have been hanging around for a long time. They got them on the 10-33 program apparently. One of the problems with lightweight 1911s is that some hollowpoints try to dig in on the feed ramp, and the aluminum frame just doesn't stand up to that sort of beating. The Ruger LWs have a titanium feed ramp, that is apparently cast into the aluminum frame. (Ruger does a lot of work with titaniu...

Re: Hakkaa päälle! (Suomi M31 review) Updated- Range Report

I will say though, the advantage of a SBR AR lower is the sheer number of calibers including pistol, you can shoot off of it. Yeah, I have one of those, too. I will have another one once ATF approves the paperwork, because sharing is for suckers. Right now it makes more sense to buy stamps, than to...

Looking forward to the outcome. I will say though, the advantage of a SBR AR lower is the sheer number of calibers including pistol, you can shoot off of it.

Re: Rossi 92 Range Report

I have one of those! It's branded a Puma but it's the same gun. I love it to death. I have gotten 158 gr loads going 1900 fps out of it and if I wanted to push it I bet I could get more. As Paw Paw said, .357 out of a carbine is a whole 'nother animal.

Congrats!

From Fast Rope and my testing back in the day before the other forum ate it... you are looking at around 200 fps difference out of a 20" over a 16.

I don't blame ya. I am working on letting the idle stuff go. Largely it's going to go to NFA stuff.

Re: FN 49 Egyptian Contract in 8mm

I am 90% sure. It's in a sealed tin and the writings worn away. But I bought it as 8mm Yugo. I should probably open it up and see. I also have a bunch of commercial hunting 8mm as well as opened Fiocci JSP and Prvi steel core all on strippers. probably 1500 rounds all told. I will count and catalog ...

I'm real sorry man. Not sure what happened. Maybe I fat fingered it and sumdood has the pictures and info. I'll cut you a break on anything else you might want. I have a K31 in very good condition, a couple of Mosin's and a bunch of ammo I plan on getting rid of.

Well wtf?!? Why even post about it if you weren't serious with following up on it with interested forum members? ??? I had sent an email to you the day I replied to your post but when I did not hear back to my follow up email I went with the second offer (from a forum member). I didn't get a bounce...

Re: Larry Vickers is an ass...but we knew that.

Bill Murray once said (of Chevy Chase IIRC) that at a certain level of fame and recognition you become an asshole for a while, and since there are no consequences often it goes on for a bit. But after two years you need to either get better or get stuck that way.

Just don't let Rod near any grenades! But I'd attend that class. Larry sounds like he's letting it get to his head. I was part of the support element during the hostage rescue during Just Cause and I have trained with Paul Howe who was a teammate of his. Paul is the consummate trainer and a true qui...
