Re: propane generator, factory or kit?

You can also get by much cheaper (though less efficiently) with a portable A/C unit. Preferably a 2-hose model but we should be able to run our one hose unit on a 2200W or bigger generator and keep one room cool. A 2000 watt unit _might_ just do it. Thats good enough for any short-midterm outage for...

I'm hopeful then that I can save the increased cost of a real/factory dual fuel or propane only inverter generator over gas only. Did you use the propane snorkel type kits (which can also allow use of LNG)? Of course they get close to making up the cost difference, depending on the generator model.....

Comment period for BATFE "bump fire" stocks and...

I am quoting this from Undefined's board. The regulatory push abut bump stocks may be being turned into yet another assault on semi-auto firearms. All, I know you're accustomed to me sending out deal alerts and other communications that are less than critical, but today is different. The BATFE is re...

Re: Gold Fringed Flag in Courtroom

I saw people harangued about wearing t-shirts with logos or mottos on them. So my Nation of Riflemen T shirt might do the trick if I found myself still on a jury after the first round? Or might get you chewed out by a judge. Or maybe told to turn it inside out. Some of them can be major snerts, and...

My Dad had an H&R Sportsman 999, 9-shot top break. It was quite accurate, and a very fun gun, and I learned to shoot a handgun with it.

Unfortunately it was stolen by a 'caregiver' and so far not recovered; when time allows I'm going to try and find another.

Just start talking about jury nullification. You'll be out of there before lunch. Wear a FIJA T-shirt. That'll do it. The crook county jury waiting areas have signs up forbidding providing information or documentation to other jurors, and I saw people harangued about wearing t-shirts with logos or ...

For those of you who already own 1911, Glock, or Springfield XD, there's also the Mech Tech CCU option. Uses the base frame's magazines (so 33 round Glock 9mm or single stack 1911, or various XDs). I have an old first gen 10mm CCU for 1911 frame and it works great, is pretty accurate, and the curren...

I've read about stellite-lined machine gun barrels for years; found a couple of notes that indicate it is mainly the chamber area and part of the rifling, but not the full length: "The Stellite liners usually referred to aren't plating but an insert containing chamber and rifling (generally jus...

My wife gave me a Christmas gift early last week; I had a day off and told her I was going to the range to sight in an AR. She gave me a Maglula for AR magazines.

I have a wonderful wife; why I never bought one of these before I can't imagine. Loading the magazines was actually enjoyable.

Posting here in case it is of interest. It sounds like they're making it difficult to do. I know if I want a chance at one I'm going to need to re-up my 'proof of competition' for the new signups, and that is a little difficult around here any more

One advantage to an AR platform is the ease of changing barrels. I could buy a longer barrel now, and in a few years when we retire to a state that is suppressor friendly, get a shorter one set up for the suppressor.

First Shirt's suggestion seems reasonable; I've heard that being an issue before (not the same caliber though); I'm pretty sure you can get replacement expanders from Redding (definitely used to be able to) if needed.

Any chance that the brass, virgin or not, is just a bit thin in the neck area?
