I have 2 builds using them.. no issues. I bought several before the last national election. I put an LPK into one of them. Again, no problems.

IIRC, a while back, there was a complaint about the mag screw holes not being tapped deep enough. New ones don't have that issue.

Hmmm.. I thought Magpul made one. Just checked and they only make it for 12 gauge.

You could grab a rail, some nuts and bolts and make your own. Or you could get one of these: https://www.cdmgear.com/lightmounts.html Scroll down for 20 gauge.

Re: And the prices keep dropping

PSA? Never again after the last hack job they did on a CHF barrel for me, thank you very much. Did they ever make it right for you? After 5 or 6 weeks of no comms I finally got an email saying they would be happy to replace the barrel, but they needed the entire upper, not just the barrel and the A...

Re: Custom Built House?

I've been in the residential construction game for 30 years as a builder/contractor/remodeler. I have three words of advice for you: References, references, references. Call local lumberyards to find reputable builders w. good credit. Ask the builders for multiple references and, more importantly, a...

True. I would probably keep the higher quality ones and sell the others depending on what the market is like at the time.

Another company with top quality stuff and decent prices is https://www.specopmfg.com/ Now, their shipping is slow (and they readily state that on their site). But if you don't need it in a rush, they are good to go. Barrels are 4150 CM, nitrided, MPI and HPT. BCGs are mil-spec (C158, shot peened, M...

Many if not most "welded" comps are just soldered on. A little heat from a torch and presto... NJ defines law only demands the process be "permanent". There is some discussion as to what that truly means. And with aggressive DA's, no one wants to take a chance, so every FFL I kn...

Someday I'm moving to America where I can have nice things.... I'll be out of NJ as soon as financially possible. But that hasn't stopped me from enjoying the AR platform. Yeah, I can't fold my stock because it makes the gun much more dangerous. Yeah, I can't add a bayonet because it's the number 2...

Here's a good pic showing absolute v. 1/3: http://progunfighter.com/co-witness/

I prefer the 1/3 because the sight picture is less "cluttered". But others prefer absolute.

If you are going to scope the rifle, you don't want an A2 detachable handle/sight. Your chin would have to be on top of the stock to get a good scope picture. If you are going to go w. a red-dot type, you can leave the front sight and either lower 1/3 or absolute co-witness w. the irons. I prefer lo...

Caliber for Brown Bear? 9mm, of course

So, this recently came across a gun page I belong to on the Faceplant. Apparently, a "very well known" guide in AK killed a charging grizzly boar w. a single stack compact 9mm using Buffalo Bore boolits. https://www.americanhunter.org/articles/2016/8/10/alaska-outfitter-defends-fishermen-f...
